If I remove my printer, which is connected via USB, the screen with the blinking, white bar disappears after about one second. My printer has a drive connected to it to load pictures from a camera memory card.

I attempted removing all power sources and holding down the power button, reconnecting the A/C capable and powering the laptop up again.
