T-Mobile US has signed a deal to provide telecoms for emergency services in New York City using network slicing to their ensure calls and data traffic are prioritized above other users.

T-Mobile will now be the preferred network provider for municipal operations and public safety communications in New York City.

Priority' solution, which sets aside a slice of its 5G network to avoid congestion and slowdowns, to NYC's 40,000-plus public safety personnel.
