Oil futures ended Wednesday at their lowest in almost two weeks, with U.S. benchmark prices notching a fourth straight session decline as investors weighed the potential impact of President Donald Trump’s energy policies and tariff threats.

Crude oil edged lower Wednesday after President Trump expanded his tariff threats to include a 10% levy on China and the European Union - two of the world's top energy markets - following his plans to impose tariffs as high as 25% on goods from Canada and Mexico - which are major crude suppliers to the U.S.

Oil prices dipped in early trade on Thursday, extending losses amid uncertainty over how proposed tariffs by U.S. President Donald Trump on several countries would impact global economic growth and energy demand.
