Café & Bar Lurcat has announced it will closing its doors in September after a 23-year run at its iconic location.

Café and Bar Lurcat, the upscale restaurant that's served New American food with views of Loring Park since 2002, is closing its doors Sept. 5. Ownership group D'Amico & Partners did not cite a reason for the closure in the press release.

Cafe & Bar Lurcat, a longtime destination near Loring Park in Minneapolis, will close at the end of this summer, as announced Tuesday by its owners. It is another from a growing list of Twin Cities restaurant staples that are calling it quits.
