S&P 500 futures ( ES=F) slipped 0.1%, coming off a record close, while Dow Jones Industrial Average futures ( YM=F) were little changed on the heels of the index's own all-time high. Contracts on the tech-heavy Nasdaq 100 ( NQ=F) were also down 0.1%.

HONG KONG -- Asian shares were mixed on Friday after U.S. markets were closed Thursday due to the Thanksgiving holiday. U.S. futures and oil prices rose.

The Dow added 1.4% this week, bringing its gain for November to 7.5%. The S&P 500 and Nasdaq Composite each advanced 1.1% on the week, ending 2024's penultimate month higher by more than 5% and 6%, respectively. With those gains, the Dow and S&P 500 notched their best months of 2024.

The Dow rose 7.5% in November, easily its best month of 2024. The Walt Disney Co. has the biggest percentage gain for the month at 22.1%, but the price-weighted index also got a boost from Goldman Sachs, up 17.5% to $608.57 and Salesforce, up more than 13% to $329.99.

Stock futures were little changed Sunday night as investors looked toward the final month of trading this year. Futures tied to the Dow Jones Industrial Average slipped 11 points, trading near flat. S&P 500 futures and Nasdaq 100 futures were also both little changed.
