Construction to build a new casino in Cedar Rapids is underway. City leaders broke ground on the Cedar Crossing project Friday morning. This comes after the Iowa Racing and Gaming Commission (IRGC) gave the thumbs up on a gaming license to Linn County.

One commission member says even with the decisions it won’t impact Riverside’s ability to challenge the license through the courts.
