The wildfire along the Columbia River Gorge started about 2:30 p.m. Friday and had burned nearly 11,000 acres as of Tuesday morning.

Hundreds of firefighters are working from the air and ground to try and contain a nearly 11,000-acre wildfire burning near Lyle, Washington.

A new wildfire erupted on the Washington side of the Columbia River Gorge the afternoon of July 18, which has closed Highway 14.
