EAST NEW YORK, Brooklyn (WABC) -- Police are investigating after an employee of a deli was stabbed to death in Brooklyn on Friday afternoon. Officers responded to 684 Hegeman Ave. just after 3 p.m. where they encountered an employee, in his 30s, with multiple stab wounds to his stomach.

A worker at a Brooklyn mini-mart died after he was stabbed in an apparent unprovoked attack at the shop’s counter, according to law enforcement sources. Police were called just after 3 p.m. to the deli and mini market on the corner of Hegeman Avenue and Van Siclen Avenue in East New York.
