Nintendo's Switch 2 is sleek and simple to use, but also comes with expensive games and some ergonomic concessions. If those bother you, the Steam Deck may still be the way to go.

Even without the deck, the new Joy-Cons are sufficiently large that they’re no longer too uncomfortable when held horizontally. The display is larger, brighter and more clear than the original Switch too, making splitscreen gameplay on the console alone much more enjoyable.

The Nintendo Switch 2's early sales indicate the console is going to blow past all other gaming handhelds, including Valve's Steam Deck.
