A Midwestern affiliate of Planned Parenthood says it will close four of its six clinics in Iowa and four in Minnesota within a year.

Planned Parenthood will shutter four Iowa clinics and another four in Minnesota in the coming year amid threats to its federal funds.

Planned Parenthood North Central States said Friday that it plans to close over a third of its health centers across Minnesota and Iowa and lay off dozens of staff members in light of looming federal funding cuts and other budget constraints.
