Alienware is joining Asus, Samsung, and MSI in making a silly “world’s first” claim — all four of them are now set to launch a genuinely exciting new wave of 27-inch 4K QD-OLED gaming monitors with an excellent 240Hz refresh rate.

Announced at CES 2025, the Swift OLED PG27UCDM is the first of its kind. Up until this time, you either picked a high resolution and lower refresh rate, or a buttery smooth framerate with a lower resolution. Now, we don’t have to make that choice anymore, and after witnessing this for myself, I’m so glad that this decision is no more.

Ahead of the official start of CES, Samsung has announced a trio of new Odyssey gaming monitors. Of the bunch, the G81SF is the most interesting. Samsung says it’s the first 4K, 27-inch OLED gaming monitor.

Packing a new ultra high density QD-OLED panel, this screen offers incredible sharp and vivid visuals and a 240hz refresh rate.

Samsung has just announced its latest gaming monitor offering at CES this evening called the Odyssey G7, and like its other recently announced monitors, it comes with at least one trait that the company claims is an “industry first” for the gaming monitor space.
