Sir Keir Starmer and Emmanuel Macron are in the final stages of agreeing a reciprocal migrants return deal to be announced at the end of the French President’s state visit on Thursday.

The deal could see the UK returning some small boat migrants to France, with France sending other asylum seekers to the UK in return.
