With San Diego Comic-Con came news from the Trek sphere that Star Trek: Strange New Worlds will be turning their main cast into puppets for a season 4 episode. Fans also got a first look at Puppet Pike, a.k.a. Anson Mount 's Captain Pike in puppet form.

Anson Mount’s Capt. Pike tasks Christina Chong’s La’an to run the nascent program through the wringer to see how it holds up. La’an, who loves a 1960s murder mystery series featuring an investigator named Amelia Moon, has Martin Quinn’s Scotty upload those stories into the holodeck’s programming, which then creates a new mystery for her to solve.

When La'an tests the prototype of the holodeck, everyone plays different characters in a simulation based on a detective series — and in a 'Star Trek' knockoff.
