Pushed the the brink of elimination, the Houston Rockets delivered a playoff gem Wednesday night to beat the Golden State Warriors and keep their season alive.

Moses Moody and Warriors bench led comeback that came up short, but it still gave Golden State a spark of energy going into Game 6.

After Curry’s jump shots, Rockets defenders made an effort to swipe at his compromised digit while he snapped his wrist. The Warriors’ television broadcast picked up the trend during Game 5, which led to accusations that the Rockets were attempting to injure Curry.

The Golden State Warriors struggled on both ends of the court to squander a chance to close out their first-round playoff series against the Houston Rockets.

Dillon Brooks has tried to push the dirty player narrative onto the Warriors all through this playoff series. But after winning Game 5 to force the series to go back to San Francisco, the Rockets enforcer tacitly admitted to intentionally targeting Steph Curry's injured thumb.

From the get-go, the young Rockets were locked in defensively, drilling jump shots and generally up for the challenge of their first elimination game together. But they're not out of the woods yet. And it's not quite time for the Warriors to panic.
