Jeffrey Lurie has a serious influx of cash after selling 8% of the Eagles to two families who agreed to acquire small stakes in the franchise in deals that raised the team’s value to just north of $8.

The Philadelphia Eagles will have a decision to make on the future of Lincoln Financial Field in the coming years. The Linc is coming up on its 23rd season in 2025 and the stadium is a part of a generation of open-air stadiums that were built before retractable roof stadiums trended across the league.

Sources indicated to The Inquirer that, while Lurie is not interested in acquiring the Celtics as a majority owner, he would be interested in acquiring a piece of the team as a limited partner.
