A 3.3-magnitude earthquake​ was reported in the Malibu area early Monday morning, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

A 4.1-magnitude earthquake shook the Los Angeles area in California, the U.S. Geological Survey reported. The 7-mile deep quake hit 7 miles from Westlake Village, about a 40-mile drive west from downtown Los Angeles, at 1:03 p.m. Sunday, March 9, according to the USGS.

The California earthquake was recorded at a depth of 7.2 miles today, with its epicentre around 6.8 miles southwest of Westlake Village
