Taylor Meyer stabbed his wife 40 times before texting her family and friends that he had killed her, according to court documents.

Investigators say Taylor Meyer of Jeffersonville had suspected that his wife Deborah was having an affair with a co-worker, so he tried to salvage their relationship with a romantic gesture that was "Paris-themed" on February 14.

Taylor Meyer, 34, is accused of beating his wife, Deborah, 36, with a wine bottle before stabbing her at least 40 times as their three young children slept upstairs. The incident allegedly sprung from Meyer’s suspicion that his wife was involved in a romantic relationship with a co-worker.
