The Philadelphia 76ers swung a deal on Tuesday with the Dallas Mavericks to send Caleb Martin to the Mavs for Quentin Grimes and a 2025 second-round pick. Grimes is expected to step in and give Philadelphia a boost with his 3-point percentage and defensive ability.

Martin came to the Sixers with huge expectations but was plagued by injuries. He missed the last 12 games. KJ Martin, another Sixers forward, was sidelined Tuesday because of a pending trade.

The Dallas Mavericks acquired Martin on Tuesday in a trade with the 76ers that sends Grimes back to the Eastern Conference. Philadelphia also gets a 2025 second-round pick in a deal that was announced a few hours before the teams were set to play at the Wells Fargo Center.
