Comments made by Andrew Gwynne in a WhatsApp group were 'completely unacceptable' and 'deeply concerning', a minister has claimed. The MP for Gorton and Denton has been sacked as health minister by Sir Keir Starmer after reports emerged of racist, sexist and derogatory messages he sent in a group including other Labour members.

It comes after the Mail on Sunday published a series of offensive messages apparently sent by Andrew Gwynne in a group chat, prompting his sacking by Keir Starmer.
