AEW Grand Slam 2025 went "Down Under" Saturday night in Brisbane, Australia for an action-packed event with three title matches. The premier women's championship in AEW occupied the spotlight as AEW Women's World Champion Mariah May continued her saga with "Timeless" Toni Storm.

AEW Grand Slam Australia was a huge success in and out of the ring, and Dave Meltzer has given his thoughts on what went down in Brisbane.

AEW Grand Slam Australia 2025 begins at 10:30 p.m. ET on February 15, or whenever NBA All-Star Saturday Night ends. It is in the Brisbane Entertainment Centre in Australia. It can hold up to 13,601 people.

"The AEW ring is a design that only AEW has," said Marshall on Twitter, responding to writer Steven Muehlhausen. "It’s very rare that an independent company (or a major company) has a 20ft ring. This ring is an 18ft ring. TNA has been using for years and older ROH as well. Why is this a talking point? It’s not our first time using an 18ft ring."

Australia, Toni Storm challenged Mariah May for the AEW Women’s World Championship. The two foes clashed in the main event, and in the end, Storm defeated May to win the gold. In doing so, she became a four-time champion.

By becoming the company’s first-ever four-time Women’s World champion in the main event in the country she calls home, Storm also got a measure of revenge against her betrayer Mariah May.
