The trade deadline came and went on Thursday afternoon without the Jazz moving any of the veterans in their rotation. But they did manage to grab one last second-round pick. Because, of course, they did.

Hood-Schifino was the 17th overall pick in the 2023 NBA Draft by the Lakers out of Indiana. A 6-foot-5, 210-pound point guard who played one season of college basketball, the 21-year-old Hood-Schifino has appeared in 23 NBA games and has spent most of his time in the NBA G League with the South Bay Lakers.

• On the morning of Feb. 1, the Jazz traded veterans Drew Eubanks and Patty Mills to the L.A. Clippers, receiving a second-round pick in 2030, P.J. Tucker and Mo Bamba in return. Bamba has already been waived, and Tucker hasn’t played in the 2024-25 season and looks unlikely to do so for the Jazz.

Former members of the Utah Jazz continue to be on the move during this year's trade deadline. According to ESPN insider Shams Charania, the Atlanta Hawks have traded De'Andre Hunter to the Cleveland Cavaliers in exchange for Caris LeVert, draft assets, and former Jazzman Georges Niang.

By Sunday, it was already reported that the Jazz aren’t done just yet. Per The AP’s Tim Reynolds: "And we're hearing the Utah Jazz aren't done. Only 90 hours left until the deadline." Now, there’s even less time until Thursday’s NBA trade deadline, and things have been silent on Utah’s front.

The Utah Jazz must appear to the other 29 NBA teams like the overachieving kid in school who is always the first person to raise their hand in class to answer a question or do something.
