Karen Read is asking for a Massachusetts court to dismiss the civil lawsuit filed against her by the family of Boston police officer John O'Keefe, who she was acquitted of killing last month.

Three new lawyers have reportedly joined Karen Read's defense team, representing her in the civil lawsuit filed against her by the O'Keefe family.

After adding new attorneys to her cause, Karen Read said she intends to ask the court to toss a civil case against her.

Read’s defense attorneys argued that O’Keefe, who allegedly had a long-standing disagreement with someone at the party, was severely injured during an argument at the party and may have been attacked by a dog given the deep wounds on his arm.
