The Golden State Warriors endured a bizarre and emotional Wednesday night, as news broke that the team was acquiring Jimmy Butler from the Miami Heat shortly before they were set to tip off against the Utah Jazz.

Golden State coach Steve Kerr had a rotation in mind when he got to the arena in Salt Lake City on Wednesday night.

Just moments before Golden State's loss to Utah, the Warriors made a massive move in the trade market. Golden State acquired Jimmy Butler from the Miami Heat in a trade that sent Andrew Wiggins to South Beach.

“It’s the hardest part of this business,” Kerr told reporters. “When you grow attached to people, and then people move on. Whether it’s a trade, free agency, coaches getting fired. You build these relationships that are really intimate, because you’ve gone through the fire together everyday, and then all of a sudden people are gone. It’s bizarre.”
