On the Jan. 20 episode of “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon,” Jost recalled an embarrassing moment when he was a contestant on a college episode of “The Weakest Link.”

Appearing on Monday's The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Jost was asked about his annual "joke swap" with his Weekend Update cohost on the recent Christmas episode of Saturday Night Live.

It happened when Jost and cohost Michael Che were anchoring the "Weekend Update" segment in the last episode of the year, in which the two tell jokes that were written for them for by the other and that they haven't seen. As viewers saw on the Dec. 21 episode, this time it referred to Marvel actress Johansson, who Jost married in 2020.

The comedian revealed that although the “Black Widow” star was “obviously surprised,” the NBC sketch comedy show’s team gave her a heads-up about his jokes.

During his time on SNL, Morgan originated several iconic characters, including Brian Fellow, Dominican Lou, Astronaut Jones, African Andy and Benny the Bengal, among others. After leaving the show, he went on to star in Tina Fey’s 30 Rock as well as several movies, including Cop Out, Superhero Movie, Coming 2 America and Death At A Funeral.
