Here is a collection of Oilers highlights from last night's dramatic win over the Stars. Wyatt Johnston of the Stars put the visiting team up 1-0 just under six minutes into the game. His 24th of the season came on the powerplay.

The defending Western Conference champion Edmonton Oilers made their first big move ahead of the NHL trade deadline by acquiring hard-nosed forward Trent Frederic from the Boston Bruins

With Frederic heading straight to IR in Edmonton, the Oilers decided to give Jones a look with the big club, and he responded with an excellent game that featured flashes of speed, physical play and skill. More than enough to earn a second opportunity tonight. Going forward, who knows?

Edmonton Oilers fans knew making a trade for an impactful player today wouldn't be easy, but most still believed something would happen.
