LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) wants to hear from you on changes coming to 7th Street Road. The long stretch of road runs from Algonquin Parkway to Manslick Road.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — At the Nia Center on West Broadway, Larry Oakley showed up at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday for a replacement ID. "It was completely packed," he said. A sign said the Kentucky Drivers Licensing Office had a two-to-three hour wait. "And that's a lie," Oakley remarked. In total, he waited nearly seven hours.

KYTC has completed a draft of the 2024 Kentucky Statewide Rail Plan, an outline of the state's current railroad operations and ways railroads can increase Kentucky's economic growth and improve quality of life. The agency will hold two virtual public meetings for the public to review the draft plan and answer questions.

Snow plow drivers in Kentucky and Indiana remain on duty Monday morning as more snow is set to arrive in the Louisville metro area.

The National Weather Service recorded 3 inches of snow at the Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport. Total snow depth in the area is 5 inches when taking into account the snow left over from earlier in the week. Jeffersonville, Indiana also received 3 inches of snow.

FRANKFORT State-sponsored engineering and construction-management scholarships are available. Three higher education scholarships are offered for current or upcoming Kentucky university and college students who apply by Feb.

"We've been making good progress," said Mayor Craig Greenberg. "We're going to continue to make good progress. Most roads in Louisville now on our snow route have all now been touched twice, and we are going to keep going." There are 110 routes and more than 2,700 lane miles of road, according to Greenberg.
