The New York Jets interviewed interim coach Jeff Ulbrich on Monday for their head coach vacancy. Ulbrich, the team's defensive coordinator the past four seasons, went 3-9 after replacing the fired Robert Saleh on Oct. 8.

The Jets formally interviewed Ulbrich for their opening. Ulbrich was thrown into the role of interim head coach on Oct. 8 after Robert Saleh was fired. The Jets went 3-9 under Ulbrich and finished 5-12 overall. Ulbrich is very popular among the players and in the Jets’ building, but he is considered a long shot to keep the job.

As the number of coaching candidates the Jets interview seems to grow by the hour, you have to wonder if Mike Tannenbaum and Rick Spielman are getting paid hourly.

Nothing was agreed upon or finalized by Tuesday evening, but the pair are believed to be the Jets' choices to lead the team going forward.
