Sanders reportedly express interest in both the Las Vegas Raiders and Dallas Cowboys openings, per multiple reports. Sanders confirmed he spoke with Jones to ESPN. Could Colorado football coach Deion Sanders be on the move? Sanders, who finished off his second year in Boulder leading the Buffaloes to a 9-4 record and Alamo Bowl appearance, has shown interest in NFL jobs this offseason, according to multiple reports ...
Earlier this week, legendary college football coach Nick Saban endorsed Deion Sanders for the Dallas Cowboys head coaching vacancy. While discussing a wide variety of topics about college football and the NFL on the popular podcast “The Pivot,
Colorado coach Deion Sanders has won at every one of his stops, most recently taking the Buffaloes from 1-11 to their first nine-win season since 2016 in two years on the job. With all his success, it makes sense that NFL teams will take an interest in his services.
Another interesting wrinkle may be developing amid speculation linking Deion Sanders to the open Cowboys head coaching job.
“To hear from Jerry Jones is truly delightful, and it’s intriguing,” Sanders told Adam Schefter of ESPN. “I love Jerry and believe in Jerry. After you hang up and process it, and think about it, it’s intriguing. But I love Boulder and everything there is about our team, the coaches, our student body and the community.”
Not only does Deion Sanders have a relationship with Saban, but he has become close to Cowboys owner Jerry Jones. This may stem from the fact that he played with the organization during the 1990s. The two have even made contact about the vacant coaching role, but it seems Coach Prime is happy where he is.

Sanders' friend and fellow Aflac spokesperson, Nick Saban, is rooting heavily for him. “I want him to get that job,” the seven-time national champion told “The Pivot” podcast, via On3's Griffin McVeigh. Saban's biases are obviously undeniable, but he clearly believes that Sanders is the leader the Cowboys need right now.
