A 23-year-old hiker whose disappearance sparked a nearly two-week-long land and air search of dense Australian wilderness has been found alive, authorities said Wednesday.

A hiker who went missing for nearly two weeks in New South Wales, Australia has been found alive, having survived on foraged berries and two muesli bars. Medical student Hadi Nazari went missing on Boxing Day after he wandered off to take photos during a hike with his friends in Kosciuszko National Park in the Snowy Mountains region.

Hadi Nazari survived 13 days in the Australian bush by drinking from streams and eating two muesli bars he found in a hut.

In the search for Ashley Elkins, Roseville Police said they determined foul play possibly happened at her ex-boyfriend's apartment.

Ashley Elkins' car has been found but the 30-year-old mother of two remains missing after she was last seen leaving her home in Warren, Michigan.

Officials confirmed that the suspect who was arrested was Elkins ex-boyfriend, who's home was searched by police. Officials say during the search, it was determined that there ‘was a strong possibility of foul play involved in this incident’ and that something likely happened within the city of Roseville.
