(AP) — Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid had arthroscopic surgery on his left knee on Wednesday, and the team said he will be re-evaluated in about six weeks.

Joel Embiid was ruled out for the remainder of the 2024-2025 season back in February. He has had an injury-plagued career, but is hopeful that he could have one more knee surgery to fix his issues.  Embiid will undergo arthroscopic knee surgery heading into the offseason,

Last season, Embiid was limited to 39 games due to a torn meniscus in his left knee. In February 2024, the Sixers' big man underwent surgery and returned in early April for the team's playoff run. Embiid then won a gold medal with Team USA in the Paris Games.
