Mack Hansen and Joe McCarthy sign new contracts with Irish Rugby Football Union - The pair are preparing for Saturday’s pivotal Six Nations showdown with title rivals France.

The Leinster lock and Connacht wing have committed to Ireland and their respective provinces for the coming years.

Ireland and Leinster second-row Joe McCarthy has signed a new three-year contract that will keep him in Ireland until 2028. McCarthy has been promoted to a central contract after his form with Ireland and Leinster. Since making his debut for Ireland against Australia in 2022, McCarthy has won 17 international caps.

Hansen joined Connacht ahead of the 2021/22 season and has made 38 appearances for the province. Hansen quickly became a fan favourite for both Connacht and Ireland.
