Democratic Sen. Alex Padilla of California said there's "a lot of reason for concern" for the second Trump administration "if the first administration is any indicator."

"No state’s government, not Texas, not California, not any state in the nation has a constitutional authority to impose federal immigration law,” the senator said on Sunday.
