The ferocious Pacific Palisades Fire ripping through Los Angeles is barely a day old, but already stands among the most destructive wildfires in the county’s history.
Update: Containment progress – Palisades Fire in Los Angeles County at 43%
Palisades Fire initially started 10:30 a.m. Jan. 7 in Los Angeles County. It has burned 23,713 acres after being active for 11 days. A crew of 5,478 firefighters has been working on site and they managed to contain 43% of the fire by Saturday afternoon.
