According to the Day County Sheriff's Office, Mollie McClure went missing early Sunday evening after jumping off a boat to swim in Waubay Lake in the town of Webster, just west of the South Dakota-Minnesota border.

ST. CLOUD — A St. Cloud state patrol trooper died Sunday in an off-duty accident in South Dakota. Minnesota State Patrol Trooper Mollie McClure died in the accident on Waubay Lake in Waubay, South Dakota, according to a news release from the Minnesota Department of Public Safety.

According to Day County Emergency Management, authorities responded to a report of a drowning at the lake on Sunday afternoon.
