Popular Indian actor Allu Arjun was arrested from his residence following an incident at a theatre where his movie Pushpa 2: The Rule was playing. Shortly after the arrest, he was granted four-week interim bail.

Pushpa 2 premiere turned tragic for a family when a mother got killed in the stampede and her young son is in a critical condition in hospital. Days after that, Pushpa 2 star Allu Arjun was arrested by Hyderabad police and was later granted bail but he had to spend a night in prison.

Allu Arjun's Kissik co-star recently expressed concern over the Pushpa 2 actor's arrest in a case related to a stampede in Hyderabad's Sandhya Theatre which claimed the life of a woman. The actress called his arrest an 'unfortunate situation'.

Allu Arjun was arrested on Friday in connection to a fan death at the Pushpa 2: The Rule premiere. He was released on interim bail on Saturday.

After his release from jail, Allu Arjun expressed sorrow over the stampede that caused a woman's death at the Pushpa 2 premiere, describing the event as ‘unintentional’. He assured to assist the deceased's family.
