The event will celebrate its 27th year at Ala Moana on Memorial Day with the theme “Many Rivers, One Ocean” to honor fallen service members and loved ones.

Thousands of lanterns are expected to fill Ala Moana Beach once again as the Shinnyo Lantern Floating Hawaii makes its annual return.
