Anthony Davis has taken the mantle as the face of the franchise for the Los Angeles Lakers during the 2024-25 season as head coach JJ Redick envisioned when he took the job this past offseason.

With Anthony Davis sidelined due to an abdominal strain, the Lakers are left scrambling to fill the void in their frontcourt.

The Lakers currently hold the 5th seed in the West. Defensive specialist Jared Vanderbilt is back in the lineup, while the team has also received help on both ends of the floor and undeniable energy from Dorian Finney-Smith, who they acquired in a recent deal with the Brooklyn Nets.
