Israel and Lebanon have agreed to open negotiations to resolve longstanding disputes over the land border between the countries, two U.S. officials tell Axios. Israel and Lebanon have agreed to start talks “as soon as possible” on their disputed land border nearly four months after a ceasefire paused the most recent war between the two countries.

Officials say negotiations would also include the future of Israeli military outposts in Lebanon and of Lebanese prisoners still held in Israel.
