Cardi B made her long-awaited WWE debut on Saturday night (Aug. 2) as the host of night one of SummerSlam at MetLife Stadium. After years of playful teasing with fans and WWE superstars, the Bronx firecracker finally stepped into the ring.

WWE SummerSlam is taking over New Jersey this weekend. Saturday kicks off the inaugural two-day SummerSlam, featuring some of the promotion's biggest stars and celebrity guests. There are six matches set for Saturday with varying levels of wildness expected as music superstar Cardi B plays host.

Cardi B is confirmed to host SummerSlam, and there's a chance that WWE will have her perform the basics across both nights to keep things simple. This has happened before when people have hosted events, and while it would be slightly underwhelming, it could happen again.
