Baseball Hall of Famer Wade Boggs announced in September that he'd been diagnosed with prostate cancer. On Friday, he said he was now "cancer free."

Wade Bogg shared a health update via X on Friday, Feb. 7, following months of cancer treatment. The former professional baseball player, 66, said he'd had 'an extremely emotional day,' as he thanked his doctors in the candid post.

“An extremely emotional day I can’t thank my doctor’s Dr. Engleman and Dr. Heidenberg enough also to everyone for your thoughts and prayers Debbie and I are pleased to announce I am cancer free,” Boggs wrote. His announcement comes nearly five months to the day after he revealed his prostate cancer diagnosis on Sep. 8.
