Israeli forces on Monday struck a military site where arms belonging to the previous Syrian government were stored in Qardaha, in the mountains of Latakia province, northwest Syria, the military said in a post on its Telegram channel.

Israeli aircraft carried out airstrikes late Monday targeting the port city of Tartus in western Syria, according to Syrian state news agency SANA. The agency reported that the strikes did not result in any casualties. SANA said civil defense teams and specialized units are working to verify the exact locations of the strikes.

The IDF (Israel Defense Forces) said that it recently attacked a military site in the Al Qardahah area in Syria, where weapons belonging to the previous Syrian regime were stored. The IDF said it decided to attack infrastructure at the site due to what it only described as "recent developments in the region.
