Indian benchmark indices Nifty 50 and Sensex ended the previous trade session in the red. Nifty 50 closed at 22,460.30, while Sensex ended at 74,115.17. The GIFT Nifty is down over 160 points, indicating a gap-down start for Indian markets.

The market crashed after banking stocks witnessed sharp selling pressure on Monday, with IndusInd Bank major draggers. Private bank stocks were top losers in the second half, which was not the case in the first half of the March 10th trading session.

The Nifty 50 closed 0.50% lower at 22,466 points, while the Sensex declined 0.30%, ending at 74,118. The broader markets witnessed even more pain, as the Nifty Midcap 100 index dropped 1.37% to close at 48,

The 30-share BSE Sensex climbed 324.67 points or 0.44 per cent to 74,657.25 in the morning trade. On the similar lines, the Nifty of NSE rose 98.45 points or 0.44 per cent to 22,650.95.
