A transient was arrested over Thanksgiving weekend for allegedly setting a spate of brush fires last month in eastern San Diego County.

Allen Dinoyo was arrested for multiple arson incidents in San Diego County following a thorough investigation by CAL FIRE and local law enforcement.

Authorities have arrested a suspect in connection with at least nine separate vegetation fires in various parts of San Diego County, according to a news release from CAL FIRE Monday.

Allen Dinoyo, an unsheltered man whose age was not immediately available, was taken into custody Saturday after allegedly sparking the last two fires in the series of blazes, which according to Cal Fire began on Nov.

On Nov. 20, Allen Dinoyo lit six separate fires, all within two hours, in Jamul and nearby Dehesa and Rancho San Diego. according to Cal Fire.
