Rachid Meziane, who has long coached professionally in France and leads the Belgian women's national team, is the new coach of the WNBA's Connecticut Sun.

Meziane joins the Sun after most recently coaching the Belgium national team and the French professional club Villeneuve d’Ascq.

One day after announcing a new general manager, the Connecticut Sun have hired Rachid Meziane as the franchise's new head coach. Meziane, a native of France, replaces Stephanie White, who was let go in October after two seasons.
