Prince William traveled to Monaco in the south of France solo on Jan. 21 to watch his beloved soccer team Aston Villa take on AS Monaco in the UEFA Champions League.

It was recently reported that Kate Middleton, Prince William, and their three kids—Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis—embarked upon a skiing vacation in the Alps following Christmas.

The Prince of Wales made a surprise appearance in Monaco on Tuesday, where he was spotted watching Aston Villa play in the Champions League with one of his closest friends and Princess Charlotte's godfather,
