Several players from the Pittsburgh Pirates were moved during Major League Baseball's trade deadline on July 31. Numerous players, including one of the team's most popular players, were traded away in a hectic day.

The Pittsburgh Pirates made many moves ahead of the MLB trade deadline, but they also didn't move one of their best pitchers. Right-handed starting pitcher Mitch Keller is still with the Pirates following the trade deadline on July 31 and will remain with them the rest of the 2025 season.

With the Yankees needing help in the bullpen, the team will reportedly get David Bednar in a trade with the Pirates before the 2025 deadline.
