The developer of Palworld has given its staff the day off to play Monster Hunter Wilds. As reported by Automaton, yesterday Japanese studio Pocketpair said on social media that it had received a number of “mysterious” notices from employees who claimed they will “probably be feeling unwell tomorrow” and unable to work.

So many Palworld developers took a sick day for Monster Hunter Wilds that Pocketpair simply made its launch day a holiday.

At least, that seems to be the case at Palworld developer Pocketpair as the company just announced that all employees can have February 28 off work to recover from their sudden/upcoming/pre-planned illnesses that just so happen to coincide with Monster Hunter Wilds release date.

Palworld studio Pocketpair has announced it's giving its staff the day off tomorrow in order to enjoy Monster Hunter Wilds (probably).

Monster Hunter Wilds has officially launched after months of anticipation, and Palworld developer Pocketpair has given employees the day off if "they feel unwell".

Pocketpair has made February 28 a special "non-working" holiday due to notices from employees that they were going to get sick that day.

Pocketpair is giving Palworld's dev team a day off so they can dive into Monster Hunter Wilds on day one.

For reasons totally unrelated to the release of Monster Hunter Wilds, Palworld developer Pocketpair has given its team a "special holiday" today, 28th February. In a memo, staff were advised that as many employees hinted that they may be too unwell to work today,
