Utah Hockey Club is going to be active at the NHL trade deadline, but Alexander Kerfoot and Ian Cole probably won't be involved in the wheeling and dealing.

Utah Hockey Club is one example of why. They have no intention of being sellers if they can avoid it. They feel they’re still in the playoff race in the West, trying to chase down the Vancouver Canucks and Calgary Flames for the last playoff spot.

The Utah Hockey Club continue to hang around the playoff picture in the Western Conference, and the front office is not looking to sell.

Since making his debut with the Club on Jan. 14 after recovering from lower-back surgery, Marino has been a steady piece of Utah’s top pair with Mikhail Sergachev. Marino has logged six points in 18 games while averaging 21:21 of time on ice.

That’s significant because Team USA general manager Bill Guerin is the GM of the Wild. In four games against the Wild this season, Keller now has nine points. He’s on a six-game point streak and has a total of 69 points in 59 games.

"When we rolled into Utah, we kind of said, 'We want to be in a position down the stretch where we're playing meaningful games," Utah general manager Bill Armstrong said prior to a 5-3 loss at the Los Angeles Kings on Saturday. "We're in the build right now, as we call it. We're four years in and we're making a lot of progress."
