The Flames will honor Gaudreau and his brother Matthew with a pregame ceremony, and his family will be in attendance, with father Guy Gaudreau taking the ice for Flames practice on Monday. It’s sure to be an emotional time for everyone involved, with both teams bonded by the tragedy.

Adam Fantilli (4,5), Kent Johnson (5), Zach Werenski (8), and Kirill Marchenko (9) provided the goal for the CBJ, and Elvis Merzļikins made 27 saves as the Blue Jackets beat Calgary at home. The Jackets dominated this game on the scoreboard by scoring early and building a big lead from which the Flames couldn't come back.

The Flames did, too, providing a memorable look at the only two NHL uniforms Gaudreau wore. That was just the start.  The Gaudreau family — Johnny’s wife, Meredith, their two young kids, Noa and Johnny Jr.

A ceremonial puck drop and video montage will air before the game to honour the former Flame’s legacy, who spent nine seasons with the team. The tribute marks the first home game between the Flames and the Blue Jackets since the Gaudreau brothers were killed by a suspected drunk driver in New Jersey in August.
