MIAMI GARDENS -- Miami Dolphins coach Mike McDaniel met with reporters to offer an update on Bayron Matos, Artie Burns and touch on a variety of other subjects. Bayron Matos 'doing better': Matos is the team's international player who was injured at the end of the first practice of training camp and airlifted to a hospital with upper-body injury.
The Miami Dolphins have signed former Pittsburgh Steelers offensive tackle Obinna Eze after a tryout, the team announced. The New York Jets had just released Eze. The Steelers signed Eze in 2023, and he joined the Jets shortly after his release from the team. Eze stayed on the Jets’ practice squad over the last two seasons.
Miami drafted Wilkins with the No. 13 pick in the 2019 NFL Draft. He played five seasons in the aqua and orange, starting 77 of a potential 81 games. As a Dolphin, he racked up 355 total tackles, 20.5 sacks and 50 quarterback hits.
The Dolphins signed a veteran cornerback who was drafted by the team back in 2018 to help with depth at the position in camp.
